Result of the week is back for another week after a weekend of superb football within the GCFA.
The focus this week was back on domestic action and our winners were certainly games that did not disappoint the viewing public.

RESULT OF THE WEEK
This week we have a result that really stands out to us as our result of the week.
Winner – CORINTHIANS

A fantastic result and performance from Corinthians saw them comprehensively beat title challengers Rutherglen Glencairn AFC

A very entertaining 7-2 victory for Corinthians is a result that cements their position in title picture.

It was a great team performance by Corinthians who will look to really kick in the pursuit of regaining their title they lost season.
MAN FOR THE BIG OCCASION ⬇️

Thoughts from the Corinthians Captain Jordan Kennedy

Speaking to social media HQ after the game,.
Was a huge game at the top of the table, didnt start great for us after Jamie McLeod curled a cracker of a free kick in after just 2 minutes, but corinthians took that as a rocket up the arse and the play from then was incredible. We found ourselves going into HT 5-1 up, perhaps the best football we’ve played all season – good time for everything to click.
John Carrick scored a hatrick, he’s had a long lay off with a knee injury so having him back and in this form is like a brand new signing. Credit to the full team tho, every single player was outstanding and we deserved the result. Conceding any goals is always frustrating but to score 7 against a team of Rutherglens stature is beyond expectation – keeps us up there in the hunt and fills us with confidence.
Another member of the Corinthians management structure commented
“We have always had tough games against Glencairn (Previously called Newlands) and we have lost more than we have won. So to beat them 7-2 was very good for the team’s confidence. But we know they will be right up for it for our next league game, and as the old cliche says – it was only 3 points”
THE TOP MEN
Well done to CORINTHIANS on being the winners of
