Its that time of week again and we look at this weeks player of the week.

This weeks footy focus GCFA MANAGER OF THE WEEK

Jamie Kjorstad led his team to a fantastic 4-2 victory over one of the favourites for the Boca Championship on Saturday.

The Rhu Colts manager has worked wonders with the club this season transforming them from a bottom half club to promotion chasers.

The manager of the week will be delighted with the progress his team have made throughout the season and will be hoping the good form will continue.

We caught up with the man of the moment and he said “Delighted with the result and the performance against a very good Rossvale team . It was 2 evenly matched teams playing in tricky conditions due to the heavy rain through the night. But it was Rhu that adapted quicker to the conditions and made a great start racing into an early 2-0 lead and that’s how it remained until the break. The first 15-20mins of the second half was the opposite of the first half and we struggled to get going and all credit to Rossvale they capitalised and got 1 back. This sparked us back into life and we responded quickly to go 3-1 up. Rossvale threw everything at us and it made for a nervy finish when they made it 3-2 with 10 to play and what felt like an addition 2 days injury time added by Donald (😂sorry Donald must of been all the VARs) we made it 4-2 at the death as Rossvale were left exposed by pushing everyone up for a corner in the 150th minute and getting caught on the break. Most pleasing thing for me was showing the resilience and character to see the game out as we’ve shipped too many points from winning positions this season and it’s something we’ve been working hard to rectify.

The boys have been great the all season and we are hoping there is one big final push after the split and we can see where we end up.

I have to give my partner in crime Sam Gemmell a mention as the work he does for this club is second to none.
