One candidate who did separate himself from the rest is a man well known to ourselves and man who seems to be on speed dial when the big games come around.

Joe Dickson has been named the Referee Of the Week For his performance in the Croftpark AFC versus Busby AFC match up.

The game was an intense tussle to start of with and Dickson made sure he was always in the right position to get the big calls correct.

As the game drifted beyond Croftpark the whistler made sure there were no shenanigans by either side.

To the reporters recollection id be surprised if there was more than one booking in the game as the man in black controlled the contest throughout.

Joe always been held in high regard by the GCFA committee and the teams he referees. Saturday’s match was no different as he officiated the game to a very high standard.

Our Roving Reporter was in attendance at Glasgow Green Sports Centre and saw first hand the great performance of the match official.

having someone of Joe’s experience truly makes our football league a much better place to play football.

Joe has been an established Referee in the GCFA for over a decade and is definitely one of the first referees to be called on when the big games such as this one comes around.
